Homology stability and its application to Hermitian K-theory

Résumé :
We will discuss a homology stability problem for groups. Then we will
present a result which improves the homology stability for symplectic groups.
This result has an application to Hermitian K-theory. Precisely, we prove a
Hermitian analog of generalized Matsumoto's theorem for local rings with infinite
residue field. This result was earlier proved by Asok--Fasel for infinite perfect field
using A^1-homotopy theory. This is a joint work with Marco Schlichting.
