Jacobian of Riemann surfaces with thin handles and cusps
Thursday, 4 February, 2016 - 14:00
Résumé :
This is joint work with Peter Buser, Bjorn Mutzel, and Robert Silhol. Given a family of compact Riemann surfaces
constructed by shrinking the length of a simple closed geodesic to zero the limit is one or two Riemann surfaces
with cusps, depending whether the geodesic was separating or non separating.
We define Jacobians for cusps surfaces and investigate the convergences of the Jacobians of the compact surfaces to
the Jacobian limiting surface.
